Thanks for the ADVICE! Goodbye to my Young Girlfriend!!
So, I am back.. As you may have read about my situation already about having to make a decision between Gaming and my Girlfriend... To refresh your memory or if you may not know yet, I had to make a decision to either be with my girlfriend or stop grinding Destiny (Full story here http://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/93198637/0/0)
Today I decided to let her leave my house as I couldn't take drama any more, she asks me to cut back time on Destiny which I feel I'll be losing out... I work full time and use all my time to play because just like everybody else I want Icebreakers, MIDA Tools and Fatebringers!
So to me it seemed selfish of her to ask me to stop playing so much to spend time with her.... As I work hard at work everyday and bring home money, rent and putting food on the table she should show a little more respect and gratitude towards me. It seems as if she takes me for granted and wants more and more from me. So I've decided to let her go because no way in hell would I give up my gaming for her.. Ungrateful woman I must say but anyway I do want to thank you people for all the advice on my other thread! It really helped.
Good riddance to her.

you need your hobby and she needs to find hers. mine just likes to read or do whatever on phone while i play but wont stop me from playing. yeah spend time together, go do stuff outside the house but no one should make you stop doing something you want. if she made you make that choice you saved yourself time money and drama. good call bro!

It's good to balance your time and give her time but if she wants all of you're free time that's not healthy, but if you're using all of your spare time to play destiny that might not be healthy you need some balance.

If she wasnt worth spending time with then you made the right decision. However, she was not selfish for requsting time spent with you. Sounds like a terrible relationship to be in if you ask me. I guess you are both better off moving on.

You should of shown her some respect and actually hang out with her and not only when you want your micropenis touched. Grow some balls, be a man and get your priorities straight. In the end she's better off without you and your PoS gaming addiction and you should rethink think about what you actually did.

My wife respects my game life and car life. So when i work the next day and she doesnt.. she allows me to play (i work full time, shes part time 25-30 hrs). Game.. or get laid. 99% its get laid :D

I work full time as well but I'm married. I think the system my wife and I have worked out seems to be ok. I play Monday and Tuesday night's from 6pm-10pm on her late nights from work. Then later night Friday and sometimes Saturday unless we have plans. Plus whatever odd Saturday she works. We do plenty together and I still have idle time for my 4. You just have to be smart and understanding and I'm sure you could have worked it out without breaking up with her. Then again, if all you want to do is game, then go for it. Live your life. You only get one. So if waisting your time on a game with a weak storyline, bad PvP matchmaking and ok graphics instead of being with someone...Have at it.

Hes the head of the house and also being the bread winner he does not need permission. If he does he's weak. I play when I want as long as I want. No questions asked. That goes for everything. From video games to sex. If you take care of her and she dictates what you do with your free time then she does not know her place. If she wants to be equal she could have got a job. If not she can gratefully fill your drink while you play
