  • Learn something everyday. Still stands that he was part of the military. While Hunters would be rouges, bounty hunters, or mercenaries. Warlocks being imbued with direct energy based powers (nova bomb) and being the intellectuals.

There is one major difference between mercs and soldiers. Soldiers unify under one banner for one cause. Mercs don't have a banner that they all unify under. They don't offer allegiance to anything other than themselves and the coin. Titans unify to protect the city. Hunters go lone wolf and scavenge from the fallen foes.

In a perfect world sure, but in reality what brings in those soldiers or unifies them could be and many times is more then a sense of honor, coin or conscription pay a big part as well. It's not coincidence that mercenaries, or "contractors" as they are known as in modern times, are all once soldiers unified under the flag of their home nation So unless a Titan can become a hunter I don't think soldier being Titan and mercenary being hunter is fitting

  • Fair enough. I suppose the best fit to describe Titans would actually be Arthurian era Knights. I had never factored in the "personal" agendas guardians could have. With it being the truest live or die scenario. I saw it as a perfect world. Where the classes had simplified agendas. Where the extent of their deviation was marked by their allegiance to one of the three current factions. Being a Warlock, I focused on what the Warlocks would be for each faction. NM: Being the faction established to bring order after the faction war, the Warlocks fought for order. Very similar to the Jedi of Star Wars. FWC: Focusing entirely on strength, I saw these Warlocks as Sith. Not evil, but hungry for more power. DO: Somewhere between the two. Using whatever means was needed to prepare for the coming battles. We already lost once. We cannot lose again. We must use the tools of our enemies to bolter our offense and defense.
