There is only one official bilingual province; in the others it is dominantly English. Except Quebec, where a very large population speak understamdable/fluent english. Big cities are much more bilingual than rural areas, which usually speak one or the other.
Ontario has French communities as well but these French communities generally produce fully bilingual people
I am from Newfoundland and "native French" is non existent. Portuguese and even Icelandic languages are [i]much[/i] more common.
