Yes because refusing to kill someone because some guys in charge who don't have to risk their lives tell you to is cowardly. Just go home.

  • The amount of innocent people killed -blam!- and destroyed by the US government cannot even b mentioned without being full if sh#t when comparing it to a tiny group of extremists and the damage they've done.

  • Its more cowardly to kill people rather than resolving things another way. Killing people does nothing to change things, it only makes them hate us more. I really hope more people aren't like you guys, ignorance is tough to fix.

  • We've tried diplomacy. They keep murdering and -blam!- people. We kill them less of them to cause problems.

  • No, we've tried killing thousands of innocent civilians in the Middle East, and then when one of them decides they want revenge we act like we're so surprised and offended and how dare those terrorists try to attack us. America's the biggest terrorist in the world, but you can keep pretending that the A-Rabs are worse, when it's us that's causing all these problems.

  • We can't kill indiscriminately. Most of the time we can only kill if fired upon. And sometimes even then we can't fire back. So killing civilians isn't too common and even when it does happen people are punished severely.

  • What??? Do you not understand that the US military killed thousands of innocent civilians with bombs, air strikes, drones etc. Our military has killed more there than multiple 9/11 attacks. But when we do stuff like that it's ok, but when the middle-eastern people do that its suddenly terrorism. It is terrorism, but if you call that terrorism then you also have to call the US military terrorists. And I'm not talking about soldiers as they don't kill civilians, I'm talking about the guys in charge who launch attacks on civilian areas to try to snuff out terrorist ammunition supplies. Yes because Vietnam, Korea, Afghanistan, and Iraq were all fighting for OUR country. Again, I have all the respect for our soldiers, but WW2 was the last war that was fought in the defense of our country.

  • I am not making fun of you personally; I am heaping scorn on an inexcusably silly idea — a practice I shall always follow. Anyone who clings to the historically untrue and thoroughly immoral doctrine that violence never settles anything I would advise to conjure up the ghosts of Napoleon Bonaparte and the Duke of Wellington and let them debate it. The ghost of Hitler could referee and the jury might well be the Dodo, the Great Auk, and the Passenger Pigeon. Violence, naked force, has settled more issues in history that has any other factor, and the contrary opinion is wishful thinking at its worst. Breeds that forget this basic truth have always paid for it with their lives and their freedoms."

  • If what you consider to be worthwhile is serving the ambitions of a state as corrupt as it's 'enemies' I don't want any part of it. I'll find my meaning and fulfilment in my self and my relationships with people. Maybe one day you'll actually try and know yourself and realise in clarity what your saying right now is beyond madness.

  • Better place? by invading a country, because a pretty small organization of extremists attacked your country? . Taking suspected and non suspects prisoners and putting them in guantanamo Bay with no rights by the world's self proclaimed bringer of democracy? By invading countries left right and centre that stand up for themselves before installing 'democratic' dictators to rule. Which then cause civil chaos so then they ask America please come train us and America basically invades again? By maintaining an invasion based on lies about wmd's? Christ it goes on. If you want to believe in this little fantasy that America deserves one iota of fu#king patriotism when it's government sh#ts all over its self proclaimed Patriots when it suits them, then by all means do so. Some f#king country when most of it is in sh#t poor condition people living on 2 dollars a day and you have the balls to defend it? It's private health, hospitals, education? The country just like the rest of us is broken. It's broken because of fools like you that cling to a notion that your government stands for something. It's doesn't. It serves itself. It's financial interests. And not for one second does it give a flying f#ck about you. The only need of you is to maintain its wealth by paying your taxes and being a good little soldier so you can be used like a toy to further it's blatant and sureal abuse of other countries. It is because of fools like you that can't think for themselves or see the bigger picture that things are the way they are. Not because America is standing up to the 'bad guys'. America. Is. The. Bad. Guy.

  • Don't ever confuse my love of this country with its administration. America is no where near what it used to be and I know that. I see it every time I look at the newspaper or turn on the TV. However, a "small group of extremists" as you call them have promised to do harm to me and my fellow countrymen, and that is what I fought for. For my neighbors to be able to go to work without worrying about being blown up. If they wanted to play nice and get along, that would be fine, but they chose to be barbarians and act like animals. And let's be honest, if you were to make a lie about WMDs being in a certain place as the whole reason for invading a country, wouldn't it stand to reason that you would produce said "WMDs" if none were found, to justify your actions? Also, lets be honest with ourselves again, no one goes to Gitmo without a reason. You don't have some guy in there for unpaid parking tickets. These are bad people and are in there for a reason. The fact that you can't come to terms with the truth that an entire group of people are in fact that evil is willful negligence at best. I suppose you think a socialist economy would be better, after all, if we can't all be rich, let's all be poor together.

We fight for the brothers and sisters at our side, not for our paycheck. The government can fall and we will still fight. We formed this country by fighting and we can rebuild it if we need to. And we'll build it better. You can't go into politics without prior service would be the first rule.

  • Your very polite sorry for my rudeness, genuinely very easy to go full harshness on the internet. I just don't like America. I don't like it's moral high horse attitude pretenses. I don't like it's gun laws. I dislike many different parts of it. Unless your at that poor part of the economy/class system it's very easy to say 'better some of us be rich then all of us poor' but man that's just not how it should work. The very foundation that the state was built upon is its worst treated. If you don't see something wrong with that I don't know what to say. As you say maybe I want socialism, not really but unfortunately, I do think, if people ever want genuine change the current system cannot adapt and that says a lot about what values our system is balanced on.

  • Yes you are right that violence has solved more problems throughout history than peace. The thing is, our goal as humanity should be to remove the need for wars. So if someone decides that they don't want to kill others and that they don't want to be a part if the problem, but rather the solution, how are they cowardly? Thank you for the polite response to my impolite response, however :)

In a sense it cam be. What you don't realize is that the "crazed jihadist" armies ate made up of regular joes who fight the war for their leaders. It's the same thing as here. So if wars, by and by, are fought by people who don't create the wars, why should there be wars in the first place? Therefore if someone doesn't want to add to that problem, why are they a coward? I have the utmost gratitude for those who decide to fight, but I also have respect for those who choose to not fight for the right reasons. Defending your home turf however is a whole different story.
