I disagree with both statements but as I don't have any sources to back me up except things hinted at in the Forerunner Saga/ H4 and Chief's face. (Not buying the edited photo though, nothing wrong with how my TV is set up and I have also looked on PC and my Phone at the cutscenes after I completed H4). I guess we will have to see how Chief evolves into his next form in Halo 5 or maybe for proof that he is not a forerunner/ or mutates into one.
