Would you like to see professions?
You could choose to have one profession either armor crafting or weapon crafting. You could have really rare exotic and legendary armor plans and weapon plans drop throughout the world. It would add a little color having multiple sets of armor that get you to max level.
Edit: Please leave comments with feedback. Even if you vote no, you may have a better idea.
Edit: Also, a special type of material could be added to the raid maps, like instead of just spirit bloom in vog, it could be something like ascendant spirit bloom thats required to make these craftable items... or enriched helium in crota raid.

1 ReplyI like the idea but everyone knows what's going to happen if this was ever to be implemented. First all the PVPers would call for a nerf to anything that a player made and killed them. Meaning you may have spent a ton of time gathering materials and leveling up your profession only for it to be the same worth as the legendaries old by vendors. Second a lot of people are too lazy to go out and gather materials so they would complain it's too hard to gather and [u]demand[/u] Bungie to just give it to them. Because that's how a lot of these players are.

I'm a blacksmith (metal fabricator) so I'd like to be able to forge my own gear and clan member gear/weapons.

The luck system and DLC's making previous content irrelevant is frustrating, along with every character of each class looking the same at 31+. No variety. The box shrinks the higher you get and further you advance. That is backwards. Professions would help and make the game and player interaction much more interesting. these were two thumbs up emojis

If they added professions it would make this game so much worthwhile. They could have different tiers of the profession where you could tamper with certain lever things. If you were a Cryptarch... Level 1 would be trolls all the time. Giveing your friends crappy rates from Decoherants, and level 9000 you would be giving them exotics all the time! There could be a tradesmen which would let you trade certain kinds of things depending on your level. You could make this Skyrim but in the future! Definitely a 10x Bump!
