Ok so the only problem I have with this is that he talked about Canadian politics which most people in the U.S. know nothing about so they would take his word for it but the fact that he was able to trick them with fake U.S. politics makes me weep for my nation.

  • I imagine some of the sketches are people playing along. But I have travelled to the US quite a bit, and I have to say that there's a lot of people there who are really out of touch with what happens outside of their front door (figuratively). Especially when it comes to politics, the economy, cross border issues, etc. And that's even in places like New York State and Michigan, which get a lot of Canadian day trippers.

  • Canadians learn about U.S. politics and issues in the U.S. more than our own. Why do Americans refuse to learn of other nations?

  • We don't refuse to learn about other countries it's just they don't teach us. I mean we do learn about ancient civilizations at a young age then we go into the physical features for our country and finally all the political aspects and then for the final one or two years of high school we get to explore options to either go more in depth with our history or learn a different countries history. Also with the internet being available to most Americans nowadays we can access the entire history of any country we want. I personally researched a bit about Japan just because I thought it was an interesting country.
