The Skirmishers are still around. They are T'vaoan Kig-Yar. T'vao is an asteroid in the Y'deio system. While the Kig-Yar are xenosaurian, they have a diverse genetic pool. Currently, it is believed that the Kig-Yar evolved from xenoreptiles, and are on their way to evolving into xenoavians.
