Edit: I accidentally replied to you instead of the OP. Whoops! Shotgun for Crucible. Not very maps where a sniper is viable, and fusion rifles make me feel dirty when I use them in crucible. And usually a sniper for PvE, because bosses have a fairly large and obvious weakspot.
