What do you think "Forge of Gods" DLC will be about.
I'm just really curious, I like Destiny Lore so I would LOVE to hear your theories.
I think Forge of Gods is about the creation of the traveler and why it is giving us technology and helping us. Probably the raid is about killing the traveler since there is people that say the traveler is EVIL, and is just using us to help it self, making it selfish.
Anyways that's all I got, hope to read your theories soon.

When the game first started there was nothing there, then before HoW there was just that little mining wheel, and now those two little pillars with the cave behind.
Just thought you would want to know.[/quote] I checked that out, and I confirmed that what he said is correct since I have a bunch of video clips saved of me playing each strike for the first time, and luckily I checked that cave back then. So FOG will be something about a drill/mine and they will find something? We are not sure yet.

5 RepliesTheory one: 3 missions 1 strike 1 raid. Assuming either fallen or hive, as those have been the only races that use the term 'God' in their lore. Theory 2: that is the finalized name of comet, and will be huge. Adding a lot of good guy back story would make me put it into the realm of the creation of the traveler. Those are my top 2 guesses.

1 ReplyI'd assume that it is about the cabal and more on their origions or heirarachy Destiny - intro to everything Dark below - intro to crota(hive gods and religion ,he's the weakest, or youngest) House of wolves - intro to queen(awoken and fallen, fallen especially adding more backstory and hierarchy info) "Comet"expansion - expands Destiny adding actual story, more on the traveler, the 9(warminds, Rasputin) a little more on hive post crota, more on the house of wolves post raid, and sets up the next 2 which are Unnamed vex dlc - more on vex as a whole, possibly push the offensive since we have weakened their hold by taking out the black garden, possibly the repercussions of disrupting the vault of glass. I'd expect heavy stranger influence on events and more on her elusive faction The forge of the gods - I'd guess cabal to fit in with the others, they probably attack earth or the traveler in a massive assault. Or craft some weapon that will make them the most dangerous, either way it will end with a bang to set up Destiny 2 probably showing the real threat the cabal pose. Either way I'm excited so let's get it

It will be about void burn Psions running around in a dark cave, then a giant bridge will have to be erected an can only be crossed by the guardian holding a chain gun, then the weapons manufacturer makes weapons that make a melody that kills you, finally Valus Ta'Aurac will resurrect and after the Gatling bearer gets killed only the guardian holding the gun will be able damage Valus. The fight will end when either Valus rockets aka Oversouls everyone or the Gatling bearer kills him before he enrages. THE END P.S. The trophy weapon is an auto rifle that has seri impact and when you kill someone with precision shots a Psions shockwave will erupt from their body.

Once victorious greed over the elusive Iron Banner helmet and Mjolnir (an exotic rocket launcher that hits harder than Thor's hammer and is more powerful than Gjallerhorn) will ensue and the PvE phase will shift into a PvP where the majority of guardians will rage quit and b!tch and moan!

1 ReplyForge would indicate some kind of construct so I'd say cabal. Especially since we haven't had a DLC about them. But they are industrialists and not exactly worshippers of any god so I'm not sure.

1 ReplyTraveler and the darkness aren't really good and evil. The traveler is able to absorb and reuse an infinite amount of energy , making him like god, able to create life and terraform stars. The darkness is a sentience that seeks to silence the traveler. It wants to be the only creator but uses energy in a very similar way to the traveler. Their exists darkness that the light can't break, and light that the darkness flees from. We fight battles for these celestial beings yet morality is thrown aside for survival. We welcomed "god" , without understanding that the "devil" was coming for it

I think the Forge of the Gods is going to be something like the VoG, but is a place where gods are born. The storyline might go that the cabal are forging gods(like atheon and crota) and the guardians must destroy the forge to stop the creation of these cabal super soldiers(their gods) . The raid could have parts where you hold areas(lets say while the ghosts sabotage their systems or wire up bombs) and parts where youre travelling through the cabal Forge. It could even take place on a massive spaceship or something and you start by crashing through the side and fighting off the labdig craft. The final battle may be more puzzle-like, where all 6 player have to be in certain spots to trigger the bombs/viruses from before. It would end not just with the death of a boss, but the forge crashing down around the team with a sprint to a waiting craft which takes the guardians back to their ships.
