I know your pain, but if you don't enjoy the grind, which I actually do. Then maybe destiny isn't the type of game for you, perhaps you should move on. I'm not trying to be an ass, I'm just being serious. Edit: 27 hours btw is peanuts. Your just getting your feet wet at the moment. According to destiny tracker I'm at just over 400 hours, but like I said I really enjoy the grind. Play more and good things will come your way. Edit 2: it also appears you only play crucible. Rank up your vanguard. Play strikes. Earn marks. In two weeks you could have two pieces of legendary gear. Not to mention you could have more from vanguard packages that you earned from ranking up. Then you'll be 31 in no time able to play both raids and enjoy the endgame content.

1 ReplyI really want to troll you but I'm going to take the high road for once and give you a straight answer that hopefully you take to heart. In games and life in general. If you want the best stuff or to experience the best stuff, generally you are going to have to work for it. As nice as it is to get free goodies and stuff handed to you, it is much more rewarding to actually earn it. I realize that this is a kind of an oxymoron in this game with the rng but it really does not take much to be raid ready. You can buy boots and arms from vendors that will get you to lvl 30. Do the weekly and get coins to buy an exotic and you will be very close to raid ready in less than a week

6 RepliesEdited by Saninus: 1/8/2015 11:44:53 PMI just recently deleted my 3rd titan and started a Warlock. The fastest and easiest way that I have been able to deduce is: -Grind up crucible to 2. Buy boots. 65 marks. -Grind Vanguard up to 2. Save all 100 marks until next week. -Pray that Xur sells helmet or chest tomorrow. -Play Eris's missions until she gives you gloves. *Week 2 -earn 20 more Vanguard marks and buy either helm or chest. (Which ever you are missing) *Helm- Xur or Vanguard *Chest- Xur or Vanguard *Boots- Crucible *Gloves- Eris That's about 9 days of 3 hours of work a day and makes you 31 capable. That's more than enough for VoG and very comfortable for Crota. That's the best I got and is Xur dependant. Any holes in my logic?

1 ReplyMy first Exotic in the game was not grinded. A legendary engram dropped for me on some Strike and when I decrypted it, I have got the Hawkmoon. I have upgraded it to 331 damage recently.

Leave the raid to the fanboys. My hope is less people do the raid, so fanboys have a harder time finding teams, and it gets more laggy.

This type of game is a grind. It's an inherent principle of the game itself. If you don't grind, you'll never get the rewards out of it. Sounds like this isn't your type of game so your best bet is to trade it in and salvage whatever you can out of it or just shelf it and do something else.

Edited by monkyken: 1/8/2015 5:22:19 PMHaving taken the time to look at your char my suggestions would be this. do crucible bounty's and get crucible rank to buy purple gear from the vendor or the same for Vanguard ( or one of the 3 fractions) once your level 26 you can start running vog on normal and hope for further purple armour drops. do the weekly heroic on the hardest level you can to gain coins that you can use to buy an exotic item from xur ( 30) light and before you know it you will be at the point you can start enjoying your higher level. you can also do strikes and hope for higher tier rare armour that can get you to 26 A few notes ( I have played this game for a few months and have 3 days of play, you say you have been here since the start yet you have 1 days play and you dont know the common methods to earn your gear doesnt make much sense to anyone. also a lot of people enjoy and like this game regardless of its flaws and imperfections and will be less inclined to help you when you call it Garbage.

2 RepliesWeekly nightfall for small chance at exotics. Weekly heroic strike for strange coins + xur on Friday/Saturday selling exotics for strange coins. Strikes for marks to purchase gear for level 31 then crota's end raid to get raid gear and chance of exotics. Crota's end is ridiculously easy with or without cheese.

Edited by JesseDoesSpace: 1/8/2015 2:55:28 PMDestiny is an MMO. MMO entails grinding and hours of play to "become legend." If you want to do the raid you just need level 26 or 27, easy to get to. Just for an hour or so a day you can rank up your vanguard (using bounties), once you get rank 3 you'll get a legendary armor or weapon (usually) and a commendation. The commendation can be used to buy a vanguard helmet, chest armor, or weapon. I suggest a weapon unless you get a good primary from the rankup package. It's really not that hard. Just takes some dedication. 27 hours is not dedication, although an experienced player could get pretty far in 27 hours on a new character, because they know the easiest ways to farm. I have around 150 hours, been playing since beta, and I've played with people that have 800 hours; that's dedication to the extreme. If you really want help here's a tip: go to earth and do the patrol missions where you have to take out a target. They're easy and give you 25 vanguard rep instead of 10. The icon for this patrol type is a circle with a star inside. And as always, do the vanguard bounties as well, and make sure you're not wearing a faction class item.
