Good point - however I think the majority of people just don't want to see the same people using the same weapons constantly. Or have the Fatebringer or VoC become completely obsolete at 300 dmg when say HoW comes out.
I think a fair compromise would be to just add another difficulty level to VoG. Make a level 32 VoG where you could obtain a 331 Fatebringer or VoC. Then, when house of wolves comes out and the raid is level 32(normal) and 34(hard), make another level VoG at level 34 to bring said weapons to the new damage threshold.
That way, VoG never becomes irrelevant, or any future raids for that matter. You could revisit/grind out old raids (while praying to RNGesus) if you really want to to get your favorite weapons such as Fatebringer to the new damage threshold, and everyone won't constantly be using the same weapons. Thoughts?

No I really do like this idea, I would LOVE to be able to run the VoG again and get things that are still worth it to me. IMO VoG is more fun than CE, but if they do that then that means they would have to let 36 light VoG armor drop too... And they don't want people to be able to reach 32 without buying the expansions. As great of an idea that would be too, allowing more diversification amongst armor load outs and appearances... You need to look at it from a business perspective from bunnies side. They want people to buy the expansions. Now I know this has nothing to do with this post but what I want to see is instead of making destiny 2, they just keep making expansions/updates and huge DLC for this game. Might actually turn into the first somewhat actual MMO style console game. Plus that way my 500+ hours I logged already wouldn't go to waste when/if destiny 2 comes out lol

Edited by Kyle GBR: 1/6/2015 6:24:30 PMSeriously. Everyone complains that people will only use VoC and Fatebringer if they are allowed to be upgraded. But if they aren't, the same will happen with the new raid primaries. Allowing them to be upgraded would actually increase variety, given the new raid primaries are worth it. (And based on Black Hammer I think they are doing well in creating the new weapons).

I like this idea.
