It would make VoG relevant. Even the Iron Banner had 30 light gear back then. It's still raid level gear and should be better than other legendaries.
Besides, why does it matter? People without TDB bought the game too. They can get to 31 anyway, why not 32? If they don't have the dlc they won't play Crota's End.

you said it will make vog relevant true but that would make the new raid not relevant out with the old in with the new and why would I care.... cuz I bought the dlc to have new content and a new level cap so why would someone who didnt buy it get the same level and yes they can get to 31 but if you actually got to 32 you can see theres a big difference like im saying weapon upgrades from vog wud be appreciated but lvl 32 gear is too much what the point of ever coming out with new raids if the old ones get you the same lvl thats how you go from a 10 year plan to a one year one

Well, maybe because level grinding is an artificial, fake way of increasing the game's life span. The raid itself is content. The strikes and quests are content. Grinding to level 32 is just filler, and, in my opinion, unnecessary. Not to mention boring and frustrating. We also have casual and intermediate players. Level just means content access. Why not keep the cap at 30 and give us five strikes, two raids, new subclasses and a new planet instead? Less grindy and more fun. After all, it's a shared world shooter, not an mmorpg, right?
