Just read this and thought it would be useful When killing Atheon in the VoG, you can tell which side (Mars/Venus) to open just by looking at your radar. Facing Atheon, a far away friendly marker on the bottom left side of your radar means they're on the Mars/left side and same marker but on the top right of your radar means they're on Venus/right side.

  • For everyone to be on the same page. I've done Hard mode all the way only once but segments of it multiple times. So, please let me know if you disagree with the approach below...P to the 7th (Proper, Prior, Planning, Prevents Piss Poor Performance) \Begin wall of text....taken from Reddit. Opening the vault: This will be the exact same as doing the vault on normal. Confluxes: This is a map /u/Dach2k3 made illustrating the spawns for this section, as well as ideal positions for players. Bring your best rocket launcher, Gjallarhorn ideally, and use them as a "panic button" for when shit gets real. When the Templar summons his legions, as another user suggested, hide in the spirit bloom cave. Oracles: The smart, and soon to be patched, way of doing this section is to intentionally wipe/ go to orbit once this section is reached. This brings you back to the spawn. Spread your players so that all oracles will be visible with the exception of the back left spawn. One player will have to jump down to initiate the oracle phase. This player won't have to be well equipped at all, or even be high level as they won't be doing anything other than killing the back left oracle. There are two spots they can go to to avoid getting killed. One is directly underneath and to the right of the Templar. It looks like an enemy spawn, but while down there, no enemies spawn. The other is above the Templar and to the right. There's a cubbyhole that can be accessed by jumping on top of a broken pillar, then to a small ledge (turn your brightness all the way up to see it better), and then if you jump in the direction the player's spawn point you will be inside of the cubbyhole. The cubbyhole is better because it offers a better view of the back left oracle. Templar: No cheese. Use Gjallarhorn (after the detain bubble) and Icebreaker. The relic spawn is probably the safest spot during the fight due to the low number of harpies that spawn, but can cause issues when the Templar teleports to a difficult to see spot like the front left or front right. If your group is capable, stick to the area the right conflux spawns at, but be sure to keep the harpies killed. (preferably by a lvl 30 relic holder as this will fill their super faster and they can kill the harpies with one press of RB/R1) Gorgon: This is fairly straightforward. There are two stationary harpies on the path to the jumping maze. Wait until the gorgon at the left cave entrance turns to the right for their loop, then walk towards the large rock in the middle of the cave, jump (don't double jump) on top of the large rock, walk up to the top of the large rock, you will see another large rock directly in front of you, double jump to this, turn to your right and you will see yet another large rock, double jump to this (be careful not to run into the ceiling while jumping), once here, wait for both of the harpies that patrol the area in front of the exit to leave, then just book it towards the exit. Gatekeeper: Split up into two groups of three, and send one to the left side and the other to the right as soon as you enter the area. Take out the mobs, and as soon as the gatekeeper goes down, begin opening both portals at the same time. Send in your best equipped/ highest level players to kill the gatekeepers. Three shots from a fully upgraded Gjallarhorn will down the gatekeeper if you're level 30. The key here is time. The gatekeeper on both sides should die within ~20 seconds of the portal opening, and the relic carrier should be out of the portal within ~40 seconds after the portal was opened. This reduces the strain on the sync plate guardians because the Praetorians will ruin their day. This is why I recommend sending one person per portal to kill the gatekeeper. Once the relics are gathered, have everyone head to the middle of the map to guard the conflux. Three players should be killing minotaurs while the two relic holders and one alt (in case a relic holder dies they can take over by grabbing the relic) works on the Praetorians that come through the portals. As a relic holder, while the Praetorians are on a level surface, jump and then slam the ground by pressing RT/ R2, follow this up by pressing RT/R2 until the Praetorian dies. This will keep the Praetorian stun locked until death. Atheon: Atheon casts a detainment shield on all non-teleported guardians. Don't jump when the timestream is opening or you die instantly if you aren't teleported. As the away team, the highest level should grab the relic. On Venus (I know, I know, it's 'the future') the two guardians on oracle duty should throw grenades/ shoot rockets at that pesky minotaur while the relic holder finishes the mobs off. When the minotaur is dead/ about dead, the oracle should then take priority. If only two players get teleported, have the portal opened and leave without killing all of the oracles (stop killing them and leave when the portal opens). You won't get time's vengeance buff, but it will save you from wiping. Other than all of this, just be sure to have 1 player on your team work on harpies during time's vengeance to keep them to a minimum- if needed, and also be sure to have everyone jump from the middle platform at 3 seconds left in time's vengeance to ensure they don't get blasted by Atheon. Best of luck.
