I do hard raid. If the team starts tripping up then we either recover or wipe, then learn from the mistakes. You don't learn anything if a self-reser saves the day (except "let's all rely on the self-reser. We don't need to be good anymore!"). Actually, both the Sunsinger and Titan can significantly increase a team's DPS. Song of Flame allows a team to throw out 6 grenades a second, and Weapons of Light is a near-25% boost to damage output on every shot.

  • I'm talking more bosses here than you messing up on the Templar. Say, on Crota, a sunsinger dies. They can self res and give you a better chance of removing Oversoul. On Atheon. Say the sunsinger is the last one alive that wasn't teleported. They can save the attempt if they die.

There really is no reason for anyone to be dying on Crota tbh It's the same with Atheon, there's no real reason to die. The problem is, because there's always a self-reser to save the day, no-one ever properly learns how to beat those bosses. A team will learn from a wipe. The only thing they'll learn when a self-reser saves the day is to rely on a self-reser.
