It's definitely a crutch but it doesn't have to be just for the weak, in this case the word crutch is a bad example because even capable people can make good use of it.
And any time there's a whole bunch of Orbs on the ground it only makes sense for a Warlock to use their super and generate some orbs of their own, any Warlock that doesn't do this isn't doing as much as they could/should.
It's impossible to deny though that the power lends itself to people who die more, and so you're more likely to have people who suck be a Warlock than any other class.

I use the res but, I will use my super to make orbs for my team. Only on the harder parts of the raid will I save it.

I'd expect a great player to be making use of Radiant Skin or Song of Flame. Both are infinitely more useful to the team. In my experience, self-resers never use their super unless they die. They never want to risk being without it.

Edited by Lucius Aelius: 1/6/2015 1:12:09 PMWhich I can understand but like I said if there's 8 orbs or more sitting on the ground even a self-res Warlock can super, make orbs of their own and then have their super right back again, and anyone not doing this at every available opportunity isn't properly contributing. This coming from a guy with 3 Sunsinger Warlocks who are always set to self-revive.
