PETITION: VoG weapons at 331. Raids shouldn't be rendered irrelevant.

[You guys came up with so many great ideas. I really wish Bungie had a look at the comments here.]
[b]Come on, Bungie, give us the freedom to choose whatever suits our style best and don't let those awesome weapons you've designed become obsolete. Actually, don't let the stunning Vault of Glass (best content in the game) be consumed by the darkness.
I believe that Raids and its weapons should always be the at level cap. More weapons to choose from, more content to play.
Weapons are mostly situational and mixing them is part of a successful strategy (it's fun too). Having more to choose from just add to the game.
Edit: I'm not suggesting to automatically turn them into 331 attack weapons. Just give us a way to upgrade them to the current attack cap. I bet you guys can implement it in a sensible way.
Why would we go against the idea of having more relevant weapons at our disposal? It's like saying "I'd rather have less weapons, less content". Let's not be passively attached to an old format. Destiny is something new with immense potential.[/b]

16 RepliesHorrible idea its funny that you would suggest this. why wouldnt you ask instead for newer and better weapons? wouldnt that be more sensible? I mean basically that would be like me asking for my level 12 and 16 weapons to get new 331 stats because I loved playing with them. If the game is a progression and it is then why are you refusing to progress when the game is giving you newer and better weapons? Also why are you encouraging Bungie to give us new raid weapons that would essentially have the same base damage you propose as the old ones? Basically we would get weapons everyone just paid for the new DLC that we could've gotten for free. Its hard to let go but please do and stop crying about your refusal to do so. I love my Fate-Bringer but I'm also equally looking forward to the will of Crota you see because I understand as the game moves forward so will I to newer and better weapons you whiny bitch...Or Bitches because its a lot of you crying about the same thing.

I would be cool with keeping the weapon skins, but not the actual weapon. My NitC is way better than my VoC, outside of solar burn Nightfalls.

I would be fine using the current exotic upgrading system to upgrade VoG weapons. Some way to get them up would be awesome.

My VoC and Fatebringer are far from obsolete and won't be for a long time but I agree with the petition. We need a Vault of Glass level 32, a way to get upgraded weapons and armour, Bungie wants each guardian is different but every DLC will make obsolete old armour and choices, every guardian will be the same, wearing the same armour with few changes. But I am afraid this is against their evil plan to shove paid DLC's down our throats. Every design decision moves to such goal.

And this is not a novel idea we can already do it with our Exotics. I am not one for all the silly ideas that are posted here about how people want an easy button but this has merit.

I'm cool with them upping to 331 But I guess that would go hand in hand with also upping the difficulty of vog which is at 26 and 30, to be in tune with crota, which I am also cool with!

Totally needs to happen. I hate that so many people will bash on this with the idea that "oh, what's the point of new content than if it's not better??" I'll tell you the point: diversity. You can become legend with the tools you want. Maybe it's from the VoG, maybe it's from Crota, maybe it's from the Iron Banner. These things shouldn't become obsolete, but make every character different and give us new toys to play with. I really hope Destiny 2 keeps these things in mind.

16 RepliesThen why bother even making new guns? The hard mode CE will have raid weapons with the higher attack. If you bring the VoG legendaries up to higher attack then what is the point of making new weapons? Some people can't see past their own noses...doing what you say OP is a horrible business decision with respect to new content.

1 ReplyOnly the Mythoclast because it is exotic. The legendaries shouldn't because there would be no need for new raid weapons. VOG weapons are made to cap at level 30 and I respect that.

As much as I love the VOG weapons I don't think they should upgrade to 331, legendaries should become outdated at some point. On the other hand, exotics that drop from VOG should be upgradable to 331, incl Mythoclast, I have no idea why it is the way it is now, I can only assume it is a glitch they still drop at 300 maxed.

My guess is that Bungie will not want to do this because people will be less encouraged to get the new gear. Whether or not this is true, I think this is a sticking point. I think a good idea would be to suggest that the VoG weapons be upgradeable in the near future (maybe after a couple of months). That will give the Crota's End weapons a chance to shine, but it would ensure us that our favorite VoG weapons would eventually be their equals.

If I had to take a guess. VOG hard will be updated to level 32 when Crota's End Hard becomes available. Then you will have your weapon limits increased.

This really should be done. They've catered to the casuals most of the time thus far and this way they could do something for the hardcore gamers that have ran (and still are) VOG on a weekly basis since the release to aquire multiples of the same weapons and maxed them out. These aren't ordinary weapons, they're part of Destiny history.
