I've done it both ways, it's just faster to cheese, especially if you're doing it with randoms. I'm not up for wasting all my heavy ammo synth because some idiot keeps dying. If I'm going with my clan or people I know are good then I have no problem doing it legit, it's not a hard fight at all, almost made it solo a few times trying just for fun. I'd rather do the entire raid legit to be honest, because other than nightfall/weekly I have nothing to do between resets unless Xur sells something I actually need to buy and level up, though even that is few and far between...
