Justify cheesing crota.
If you cheese crota, here are my assumptions of you.
1. It's too hard for you.
2. You're lazy.
3. You have never learned to do it the right way.
4. You think there's no problem with it.
5. You think it's cool.
6. You think it's bungie's fault.
7. You did it once and think bungie owes you a level 32 character.
8. "I don't have time" when you've played 700+ hours.
When the hard raid comes out and you're walking around clueless, I will laugh in your face and boot anyone who asks how to kill crota legit.
Edit: seems like everyone claims they can't find 5 other people. Not a valid reason. My friend did it solo and I did it with only one other person in 3 minutes. So try something else.
Edit 2: So, it comes down to this. People either agree with me or they hate me because they can't do it legit. I love these people! Haha.

I've relented when it came to the VoG, but I refuse to cheese CE. Hence, I've only beaten CE once thanks to the plebians that plague the 360. It's easily the only thing that's driving me from my Console on back to the glory of PC.

2 RepliesI think everyone should do it once or twice the way it was intended to get familiar with the raid and mechanics as designed.. With this being said, I personally have done the raid legit way in the beginning but at this point I would be dumb to keep doing it legit over and over again when the gear has lost all its value because everyone and their mother is cheering it so there's absolutely no point. This IS bungie's fault. They released a raid that was completely untested knowing well that it would have numerous glitches. They are aware of this because they delayed the hard raid for this reason. Vault of Glass was actually done pretty well, the glitches weren't as obvious and were easy to patch. Crota's raid is a disaster. When you can solo it without cheese its a joke to begin with not to mention that every stage of the raid has so many glitches it's hard to justify doing them legit when someone can do the raid in 10 mins and get the same loot it will take you 30-45 mins with a GOOD team. Why in the hell would you waste time. Especially knowing that in 3 months this loot/gear will be worth nothing when new dlc is released I'm all for patching the raid and fixing it but as it is its hard to justify doing it legit.

We beat him with 2nd sword pick up. So easy. Can't believe people cheese him. They will be the ones struggling when they patch it for hard mode.

What about this raid sucks and has no lasting appeal . Yes I have cheesed this raid and played it as well honestly both ways are zero fun . So if I can jum p in on a cheese session then hell yea I'm gonna do that because like I said no fun either way so to get the armor I'm in and out of a no fun situation quicker . I still play vog that's fun . Ps I think you have mommy issues because you need all of this attention f n moron

2 RepliesI did it legit a couple of times. But once people found out how to do it the cheap way it was just a snowball effect. Now every time i pug a random group someones always like "we're gunna cheese crota right?" so everyone happily agrees and thats what we do. I'm not some righteous gamer whos going to demand we do it legit. I can care less.. just give me phat loots bruh

But to be honest if you have done it once before legit you have nothing to prove by doing it over and over again so feel free to cheese away. However isn't it just more fun and satisfying to do legit? Don't get me wrong I knocked the templar off a few times back in the day, but it always felt like a letdown. I never cheesed atheon though. That cheese looked harder than doing him legit. Your only really cheesing yourself out of a good fight at the end of the day.

1 ReplyPeople cheese because they can get to the end after wiping many times, kill crota and get rewarded a whopping 3 radiant shards or energy. I know it's RNG, but it should be a guaranteed 1 weapon/armor or even the ship but 3 shards? From the final boss? Even if its duplicate stuff, it's better than 3 freaking shards. I've beat it legit many times, so I'm ready for hard, but I'll continue to cheese until it's fixed.

My thing here is it'll be funny if there are additional steps needed to beat crota on hard, different from normal. Then the whole "Idk how to beat crota legit" could stem from the fact it changed and isn't the same as normal, not just because you cheesed it. My own two cents.

I do it once a week legit. Then I run 2 cheese runs. Not proud of it, but bungie needs to do more work to their raid... I'll be VERY dissappointed if they don't fix ALL of it for the HM version

I don't understand why there are so many posts like this lol. There is very little difference to actually "cheesing" the boss and doing it legit. By now a lot of people are 32 and you can just do it normally with 1 sword anyways. FYI. I have a recorded clip on my Xbox account of killing crota legit, probably before you did. Calm down, bro.

You are just trying to brag about something almost everyone in the game has accomplished. You are not special and you never will be. Also, the hard raid will have different aspects so you are also not prepared for it. And this has been posted a lot, so again you come up short.
