Justify cheesing crota.
If you cheese crota, here are my assumptions of you.
1. It's too hard for you.
2. You're lazy.
3. You have never learned to do it the right way.
4. You think there's no problem with it.
5. You think it's cool.
6. You think it's bungie's fault.
7. You did it once and think bungie owes you a level 32 character.
8. "I don't have time" when you've played 700+ hours.
When the hard raid comes out and you're walking around clueless, I will laugh in your face and boot anyone who asks how to kill crota legit.
Edit: seems like everyone claims they can't find 5 other people. Not a valid reason. My friend did it solo and I did it with only one other person in 3 minutes. So try something else.
Edit 2: So, it comes down to this. People either agree with me or they hate me because they can't do it legit. I love these people! Haha.

Also ive played over 800 hours, am a 32 myself, beta tester and desticle. Also beat it legitly earlier in the week for myself so i didn't feel any remorse for cheesing on someone elses behalf

1 ReplyI did it legit 6 times, then started cheesing everything. Even if cheesing took longer I'd probably still do it. Why? Because the loot system is random and unfair. I just simply [i]do not believe[/i] I will [b]EVER[/b] get the loot I'm looking for, so I will put in the least amount of effort possible until it is changed.

I have done it legit and cheesed it I really don't care how it get done my characters have the gear they need so just doing it for shards....I'm sure they will fix them by hard mode and I look forward to the challenge cuz even without cheesing with a good group this raid is easier then vog

Im just glad that i,ll never raid, theres no accomplishment to it anymore, even if i managed to get a team & do it legit no one will believe us anyway. Just because the amount of cheesing is so high now. Theyll find a way to cheese hard raid aswell, theres no respect for raid players anymore & quite rightfully so. P.s. Anyone that admits to cheesing & in the same sentence says theyve done it legit cannot be believed.

this game doesnt offer challenge or complexity. it's just some stupid mechanic that one person can do. give us a stupid game full of stupid boss fights, and we'll be stupid players and do stupid things and act stupid in the forums.

I've done both. If the majority of the group wants to cheese, that's cool. If they want to do it legit, that's fine by me to. As long as it gets done, that's all that really matters to me. It's just a game, I don't really care how others play.

I've beat it legit and I've cheesed. So far I've had a blast playing it however. It doesn't bother me to do it either way. I'm not sure why people freak out about it so much. My reasoning is I paid for a product and I'll use it however the hell I want.

I cheesed atheon till they patched it I laughed when people couldn't beat it after patch. Same with templar, now he's officially the hardest boss in vog The same will happen with crota. Yeah I'm lazy. Yeah I do have time to do it legit, yeah I'm already lvl 32 But if it's there, Imma do it. Once hard comes out I'll be good. Because I don't play with scrubs

My favorite responses are 1) "I do it because its Bungie's fault that its in the game and I'm gonna take advantage of it" or 2) "I already know how to do it legit I just want to do it faster". 1) Yes obviously there is some problem in the game that causes Crota to stay kneeling when the leader disconnects, but that does not give you free reign to take advantage of it. The dev should do their best to fix all the problems they can, but its not possible to fix everything. The players themselves have a responsibility in this situation as well. You don't get out of it scot-free by saying "well it was possible to do it so I did". Also, this is not even a cheese in the first place. A cheese is clever us of game mechanics that make a fight easier (i.e. pushing Atheon off, or warlocks using self rez before the timer runs out to despawn enemies). This is breaking the game. This is an always online game and you are -blam!-ing with the network connection of your fireteam to cause this to happen. This is cheating, no other way of putting it. So don't call it a cheese because it isn't. 2) If you are actually that good at doing the fight legit then it shouldn't actually take you much time to finish it. So either you aren't very good at the fight (in which case good -blam!-ing luck once you can't do this anymore), or you are just lazy. Laziness seems to be a silly reason to cheat on Crota, as it's honestly not a hard fight once you have practiced it a little bit. And if you do it because you "know" how to do the fight, but don't have much practice, then I feel sorry for the Fireteam that ends up with you once this gets fixed.

"You think it's cool". <-----this is the reason. I don't understand why people cheese Crota because it's "faster". It's not faster. I've timed it! I hate that moment when the leader says "oh by the way we are cheesing Crota to save time." They just do it to be cool and "stick it to the man" like a bunch of hipsters.

Well honestly I have done it both ways if I am in a group and they say let's do it legit I say let's do it bring on the two shards reward Now if I'm in a group and they say let's cheese it I say Why not it's just two shards anyway

Only times I've cheese is when people continuously get disconnected and if the sword is despawning. After a couple good runs destroyed by this and it's to his knees.

I've beaten it legit on all my characters. I've also cheesed it on all my characters. Same result either way. Some people who play destiny have a sense that they're "elitist" or "entitled". I'm sorry you put more than 800+ into the game and only have an emblem and a grimore score to show for it. I've put my time in and when the hard raid comes out and I find people who can't do it, I'll walk them through it. Have fun booting people and laughing.. The raid sucks anyways and DLC is a mess. Jokes on you because no one cares..
