Justify cheesing crota.
If you cheese crota, here are my assumptions of you.
1. It's too hard for you.
2. You're lazy.
3. You have never learned to do it the right way.
4. You think there's no problem with it.
5. You think it's cool.
6. You think it's bungie's fault.
7. You did it once and think bungie owes you a level 32 character.
8. "I don't have time" when you've played 700+ hours.
When the hard raid comes out and you're walking around clueless, I will laugh in your face and boot anyone who asks how to kill crota legit.
Edit: seems like everyone claims they can't find 5 other people. Not a valid reason. My friend did it solo and I did it with only one other person in 3 minutes. So try something else.
Edit 2: So, it comes down to this. People either agree with me or they hate me because they can't do it legit. I love these people! Haha.

When your friend's 27 and such want to be ran through it's easier. Also, know both ways and would rather do it legit if my team is proper level. Once hard comes out the people that only cheesed will be funny to see.

If I do it with a random group and they suggest cheesing, I do it. I assume they're not able to do it legit and so I'll thin the herd down for Hardmode. Then once it's done nobody will see I didn't get any rewards... because I already did it with friends after trying to solo it for a few hours again... next week I'll succeed in soloing it...

2 Repliesyour list is probably right but when you think about it, what does it matter when the next dlc comes out, you get to buy gear from a vendor to be able to go into the next raid. so all this raid armor is pointless.

I've done it both ways, it's just faster to cheese, especially if you're doing it with randoms. I'm not up for wasting all my heavy ammo synth because some idiot keeps dying. If I'm going with my clan or people I know are good then I have no problem doing it legit, it's not a hard fight at all, almost made it solo a few times trying just for fun. I'd rather do the entire raid legit to be honest, because other than nightfall/weekly I have nothing to do between resets unless Xur sells something I actually need to buy and level up, though even that is few and far between...

4 RepliesI did it solo legit and got shards. Went on forums to find a team, they end up cheesing, we kill him, I get black hammer, the emblem, the shader, AND shards .-.

I'm not here to force my opinion on anyone, but I did crota legit with my lv 30 Titan and my fire team showed me the ropes, and from my understanding when you get to crota whether you decide to cheese or not, you already know the basics of killing him, so when hard mode comes out players will do fine either way. Play the GAME the way you want and as long as your enjoying yourself your not hurting anyone. Players who do it legit are still going to get there rewards whether players cheese or not. But near enough every random raid group I join has certain players who have no idea what they are doing. (In that sense its a shame level 31 armor is sold by the vendors. There should of been some way to differenciate who has done the 'full raid' successfuly (a number of times) and who hasn't) And most of my online contacts complete all three raid runs on tuesdays and I often can't do them till later in the week. So I often have to use the likes of destinylfg to find groups. It can be very difficult - on ps3 anyway. And more often than not some of the group end up wanting to cheese crota. Even though beating him legit is a fairly basic excercise. It doesnt help with the deathsingers section not offering any loot, leading to no one bothering doing it. Most people I know beat crota three times in a row. Then do the rest of the raid (up to deathsinger) at a seperate time. So even if you get a group together capable of doing the raid it often breaks up because certain members only want to do certain sections.

I did it legit, I can do it legit, I'd be fine with doing it legit again. But the MM Sites are not... I see only seas of cheese, and if you can't beat em...

Only time its actually acceptable to cheese Crota is on a monday night with 20 mins left before reset. But other then that, no. Legit way is fun way.

I have been thinking about this for a good part of the day because I have cheesed Crota many times but I love difficult games. I play nearly every game on the hardest difficulty available and will spend hours trying to figure out how to beat things on other games. My first VoG run was around 5 hours of trial and error and Atheon was not beat. I still had fun because of the difficulty and everyone was working together and trying. Fast forward a couple months and 18 full raids later (all on a hunter) and I was still stuck at 29 because boots would not drop. It was during this stretch that I quit complaining about cheesing Templar/Atheon and just wanted to get to drops as quickly as possible. I have beaten this raid with and without cheese and it isn't all that difficult either way (with a decent team) so I continue to do it the fastest way.

Ive run the raid both ways and I only look for cheese groups when I don't have a lot of time. I have about 80 hours put in from day 1, so don't categorize me with those 700+ people. The real raid is really fun though, the bridge totems are my favorite

I have completed crota legit before. I just cheese it all now cuz I couldnt be bothered to do a whole crota raid legit 3 times + vog 3 times + weekly 3 times + nightfall 3 times + get in my fair share of crucible all before reset. When it gets patched ill do it legti and I will FLOURISH doing it legit. Dont you worry about me not being able to do it legit because I can do it legit. CHeesing it just saves me IMMENSE time as many of the random groups I join right now cant even do crota legit. When the time comes where people can do crota with randoms within 3 or 4 wipes like we can with atheon, then I will be happy and stop cheesing it.

After initial hours after hours playing with Sub Par Players trying to kill that F Tard I Definitely! Earned the Right to Cheese Him! But I NEVER have and NEVER will! He's easy enough as it is and at this point with the Right Team I could even kill him as a 30 if I wanted to

Work hard with a random team doing it legit and get energy. Cheese it with no effort and still get energy. Rewards still suck.
