Justify cheesing crota.
If you cheese crota, here are my assumptions of you.
1. It's too hard for you.
2. You're lazy.
3. You have never learned to do it the right way.
4. You think there's no problem with it.
5. You think it's cool.
6. You think it's bungie's fault.
7. You did it once and think bungie owes you a level 32 character.
8. "I don't have time" when you've played 700+ hours.
When the hard raid comes out and you're walking around clueless, I will laugh in your face and boot anyone who asks how to kill crota legit.
Edit: seems like everyone claims they can't find 5 other people. Not a valid reason. My friend did it solo and I did it with only one other person in 3 minutes. So try something else.
Edit 2: So, it comes down to this. People either agree with me or they hate me because they can't do it legit. I love these people! Haha.

Foreword: I am against cheesing anything to an extent. For the VoG, the only time I cheesed it was if the group I was with refused to run it legit. I even hated hiding in the spin metal chest room during the Templars legions portion. I cheesed the VoG maybe twice. For CE I've cheesed it more. I now have 2 raid eligible toons. I love running the raid legit, it's fun as hell imo. However like what I just did, this week I haven't had time to run it twice. So before the reset I cheesed Crota on my second toon just to get the shards (ended up with Black Hammer). So IMO if you beat it legit once during the week any follow up runs I have no problem with cheesing. For the NFs, some of them are only possible "cheesing" or hiding in certain rooms. I don't feel me hiding in a room that is allowed as cheesing because it is me taking cover. Now Phogoths room is a different story because I don't even have to move. Plus some of those strikes I've done a shit ton of times and there are moments I'm only doing the grind not necessarily playing for the game (if that makes sense), so I end up taking the easiest route that requires little effort. TLDR; on Raids, I feel as long as you've beat it legit once for that week there is no harm in cheesing follow up runs.

Done it legit plenty as sword runner. If I cheese it's because failure to succeed was caused by a glitch like the sword disappearing as soon as you grab it and in that case I say an eye for an eye.

i've done it legit before, and i dont care. it takes longer. this saves time, and that's that. besides, people have been cheesing games since forever. look at ANY speedrun of anything.

I normally would say the raid isn't even that hard for you to bring up skill as I've done it legit quite a few times. However, last group I ran with in Tuesday was a nightmare. If it weren't for cheesing we would be stuck at the bridge. It was so sad to see, I was the only one out of 6 people who knew what to do and execute. It was the first time I didn't make it through on the first try and these guys seemed to be complete noobs as they had a hard time killing swordbearer and seemed afraid of picking up the damn sword. I got frustrated and ended up switching to my wl to get past that part and then left the group. All they knew was cheese and they had all the gear and weapons, it was sad to witness.

There is no problem with it. I think it's cool. I play with random people and finding a group who can do it legit wastes too much time. I have done it both legit and cheese and both are the same to me. People need to stop being such little bitches.

1 ReplyIn order to cheese him you have to understand the method of how to beat him. It really is that simple. Bungie will patch it and people will go back to killing crota the normal way, as they have done with Atheon. Then, you'll be able to fall asleep in peace, instead of crying yourself to sleep at night because of how other people play their video games. #dramaqueen

hows this for you..... i do it legit..not that hard.. i can solo the first two parts of the raid as is.... but this past tuesday.. me and the best members of my clan did a crota run... eased through it..nobody dying.... killed crota in less then 3 minutes.... he dropped 4-6 items for everyone else.... for ALL 3 parts of the raid including crota.. i got NOTHING.. not one.. single.. drop... the game bugged.. gave me squat. from that moment onwards... i decided if i was going to cheese him if the oppertunity presented itself. if he is going to cheese me out of my items... then im going to laugh when he kneels like the chump he is.

Agree i never cheesed him or will cheese him!! Beat him legit 8 times this week alone also to help out and i always end his life way before ogres even with 2 27 people that are hidding in ogre room just to get them loot legit! Anyone that cheese him is utter shit and a scrub of highest order to be honest so easy is crota fml lal

Its about efficiency. Once you've done it legit 3-4 times it becomes about how fast I can do it.
