Justify cheesing crota.
If you cheese crota, here are my assumptions of you.
1. It's too hard for you.
2. You're lazy.
3. You have never learned to do it the right way.
4. You think there's no problem with it.
5. You think it's cool.
6. You think it's bungie's fault.
7. You did it once and think bungie owes you a level 32 character.
8. "I don't have time" when you've played 700+ hours.
When the hard raid comes out and you're walking around clueless, I will laugh in your face and boot anyone who asks how to kill crota legit.
Edit: seems like everyone claims they can't find 5 other people. Not a valid reason. My friend did it solo and I did it with only one other person in 3 minutes. So try something else.
Edit 2: So, it comes down to this. People either agree with me or they hate me because they can't do it legit. I love these people! Haha.

I do it legit becuase it's a fun raid however, I don't really care if people cheese it. Once hardmode comes out and they patch all the glitches (DISSAPEARING HEAVY AMMO GLITCH TO PLEASE) People that have only glitched the fights will be SOL. IMHO, you need to quit worring about what others are doing and work on getting like minded people to raid with. Build that team cordination; it will serve you in the future when the next DLC comes out.

2 RepliesThe funny thing is, I HAVE NO CLUE HOW TO CHEESE CROTA. Seriously, if somebody asked me if we could cheese Crota, I would be the dumb one in the group, like "um, how?" Matter of fact, I don't think anybody in my clan/fireteam knows how to cheese him. We do know how to beat him easily in under 5 minutes though, usually by the 2nd or 3rd try, if not the 1st. Play together, use communication, and a good strategy, and it's a very fun simplistic fight. I've beat Crota almost 20 times by now, never once has one of the victories been tainted by cheese. I wouldn't even know where to start, lol. It's crazy for me to read this stuff on the forums. If it's really this bad, then thank God I have a good group of fireteam friends who play the game with skill and teamwork.

I think most people cheese because the raid is glitchy or they don't have the coordination down. ie The sword disappearing instantly. Really only takes 2 swords to kill him tho if you have it down

5 RepliesYou're a child. We all want to do the raid legit. I want to, you want to. We all want to. I don't need to practice the raid on normal over 20 times like you "professionals" lol. I've done it ENOUGH times to know how the system works and how to develop a strategy with a team. What are we after again? The gear, oh yeah that's right. How do we get it? Efficiency. I'm sure once hard mode hits with no cheesing we'll all have enough practice to do it "legit" and in the approximate time it takes the "I've done it 20 times legit experts of normal mode". But when it does hit, the [i]cheesers[/i] will have the gear and will be just as fine.

3 RepliesYou tell me how it hurts other players? And I'll never cheese again. Cheat in sports you could hurt someone. Especially a contact sport. Take roids get back acne and shrunken balls. Cheese a video game and get back time in real life...to help my gf with groceries, change a flat tire I didnt know I had to get to work on time and etc. Me getting a chance and getting 01010010101010101010101010 item before you do and walk around with it while you inspect me and get jelly is like you walking into the men's locker room analyzing other dudes junk and getting mad. I don't mean to crap on people who want to play legit and don't buy stuff from Xur, don't finish nightfalls because they died once to roleplay, don't watch youtube videos because they don't want to learn from someone else and all the other ways you justify video game life but don't value your own real life existence. Are you out in the real world changing lives, curing cancer, saving people from burning buildings, getting shot at by real life mofos and so on? If you are kudos then you know the futility of this whining for legit blah blah. But since you are whining about how other people play you must not be doing any of that stuff because then you know how trivial what you complain about really is my friend. For me and many others video games are an escape and relaxation. If bungie or anyone else had a problem with the way people played the game they would have done something by now. They don't because Moses isnt coming down the hill and smiting anyone with 20 commandments. If anything RNGesus didnt get you sheebop for his birthday and you're not happy. Just because your friend can solo the boss doesn't mean jack. I have done the whole raid legit and cheesed someone as well. Depends on if i have time or if I give a crap at the moment. Bungie doesnt owe me anything in their made up for fun world. Atheon still is a big glitch for me to this day but I still run him legit for the fun of it...or maybe to get that 010101010100000110101057 item hmm? TLDR: To be honest I don't hate you I feel sorry for you and people like you that think in the big scheme of things video game morality means anything.

1 ReplyI guess my main question is why people care how other people play a game that they paid for. I understand if someone is directly affecting your experience (ex: the infinite heavy ammo in crucible, modding in Halo 2 ranked multiplayer days, etc.), but you can choose whether to join a group (or form a group) that cheeses or not. If they're intending to cheese, then leave or ask them to leave. I have one other question... Do people who are against cheesing feel the same way about the Loot Cave when it existed? Just curious.

I've done it both ways, cheese is quicker ( if you have the right people with you) that's all, doing it the normal way just takes 15 mins or so. Doing the cheese with a 32 on the sword takes 4 mins and 1 sword, so you can do all 3 of your toons in 30 mins, thats with all the swapping about.

You should encourage them to keep doing it, hopefully come hard mode Bungie will have the known cheeses fixed and the few of us will reap the rewards while the rest can't and are stuck waiting for the next cheese
