Yeah its a technicality really. Once hydrogen and helium has been depleted the fusion carries on with heavier elements until iron is created which absorbs, rather than outputs energy, meaning the star collapses under it's own gravity and the resulting bounce back causes a supernovae
More a hobby than actual qualifications
