Company comes out with a product and caters to their rival. Rival behind in the rat race, looks to captialize in the next one. Pays large sum for exclusives. Company agrees and rest is history. It is what it is. All that "Bungie owes Microsoft" is just a child's thinking. They don't owe them anything. In fact, didn't they give up Halo and lost some of their devs in the breakup? So I say they paid in full. In the end, kids, you need to get over it. You had MS grab exclusives for you for a long time now. Just deal with it...or buy a PS4.
