Got mine as well as reading others who have in first chest on Crota raid .. It's legit maxed btw .. Good luck

Yeah, the Exotic chests in Crota and Atheon give out Thunderlord quite a bit. I ran a n00b through the Atheon raid (their first time) and they got it. I've ran it countless times and never gotten any exotics.
