    That equation is formatted vaguely. If you are going to use "/" for division you need parentheses to specify whether the question is (12/3)x2 or 12/(3x2). Your statement about multiplication and division is correct but that example bothers me.

  • Ah yes, I could see where a situation like that would cause a disagreement. From what I recall of math (I went all the way up to Calculus but that was a few years ago) your answer to that problem is correct.
