This was posted already somewhere else, but it fits your way of life perfectly.
This guy in the video must be a god to you.
He did nothing wrong according to your reasoning, after all he paid 60$ for his uniform.
The army has to be thankful to him, because he found the glitch where you could get all the nice insignias of being a true veteran.
The veteran was wrong to call him out.
EDIT:
#satire
The veteran in the video had absolutely no reason to call the guy out. He was not affecting his shopping at all. In fact, making a video about it and posting it on youtube was just snitching. He must have no life. It`s just a shopping mall, it`s not a battlefield, so what harm is done by this fatty for impersonating an officer? Maybe he was just very deep into Cosplaying. Can´t believe that he made a scene about it, the guy can go shopping in his underpants, what should I care? Good lord, it`s a shopping mall. People are taking these conmen way too seriously. Infact: faking an officer takes much more courage and knowledge than being a real one. The guy was just smart.
If you think about it: The army is to blame for making it so easy to impersonate an officer. They maybe should get off their lazy asses and patch their shit. I don`t know how many times I failed the army test, they wasted enough of my time, now I´m just wearing the uniform like I see fit. Paid 60 bucks for it. All the lame Poooolicemen can get of my back.

As someone who proudly serves his country, guys who impersonate actual service members make me violently angry. I don't fault anyone for wanting a quiet, peaceful civilian life. It's a volunteer force. No one has to serve. I do so that everyone else can enjoy not being bombed by Isis on a daily basis. Bit for the love of all that is holy, don't pretend. Wanting the benefits without the sacrifice is cowardice. If you want to join the military, I'll happily swear you in. If you want to stay safe at home, that's why the rest of us willingly enlisted or accepted commissions and there is not a damn thing wrong with that choice. But when you pretend, you're an asshole and deserve bad things to happen to you.
