I’d love to work for Bungie

This isn’t trying to kiss arse, or beg for a job (although if there’s one going :p). It’s to do with all of the secrets in the game, most of which will never be found. I always like to figure things out for myself, but as games get bigger and better and I get less time to play them I realise this isn’t an option anymore. Like most people I turn to the internet and I thought that sooner or later everything would be discovered. After seeing the video from Halo to unlock the hidden skull, which took years for anyone to find, I started to wonder what other things there were which no one had ever found. I mean come on, why would you even try jumping through the rings in that order?! :p Now with Destiny everyone knows there are secrets and hidden gems waiting to be discovered, so Bungie would have had to be a lot smarter hiding things they didn’t want to be found. For all we know there could be a hidden chest in the VOG which only appears at the steps beyond Atheon if you dance every time you’re about to be teleported, point to every Oracle and wave at every Harpie. There are so many conditions they could put in place, which would create a potentially infinite sequence of random events, needing to be done in a specific order. Even with complete luck I think some things could be impossible to replicate unless you knew what you were doing. This is why I want to be on the inside. Not so I can tell everyone for my 5 seconds of fame, not so I can even brag about knowing but not being able to say, just so I can know myself. To sit there and read all the theories and watch all the attempts, knowing that the one truly unique gun or piece of gear is sat there waiting to be discovered but never will be. I think this is how Bungie deals with all of the abuse, they have a smug barrier which shields them from insults. I’ll admit I moan about the game not being perfect and comment on things which frustrate me, but it still surprises me the level of hate some people seem to have for something which is supposed to be fun and more importantly is optional to play. What would be even better was that if after 10 years; someone finds the last chest in the VOG, opens it… and it’s spirit bloom.
