No no. Error codes are tracked. So is packet loss. This is not the same thing as pulling a connection on purpose multiple times, same spot same account.

I am disconnected multiple times through all parts of the game without any error codes being shown. (also multiple times with error codes). If this happens at the end of a strike etc and progress is lost, it is extremely annoying, to say the least. Perhaps Bungies' time and resources would be better spent fixing their Servers which would benefit the majority of people who experience these problems rather than worrying about a few people who cheese. This debate is merely clouding the main issue and attempting to put blame on the player rather the developer. I do not condone modifying consoles etc in any way and think that probably the use of a disconnect, in this instance only which is against an AI, is teetering on the brink of what is fair but lets get this 'offence' in proportion to the problem of being constantly booted out of the game by Servers. If Bungies remedy against players who disconnect, in order to save a few minutes gameplay, is to ban them, what is the players remedy against Bungie for all the time the player is unable to play a game they have paid for.. Its not as though Bungie is unaware of the problem of players being booted,.
