No one, and I mean no one, is going to get banned for doing this cheese method. Not supporting the cheese, just saying that no one is going to get banned. There was so much glitching/cheating/modding going on with GTA 5 over the past year (where R* could argue they were actually losing money because people were glitching millions of dollars) but the only ones who got banned were the people who had actual modded consoles.

Yes I agree with you. 1 time is not that dangerous. Multiple times will get flagged though. I have no doubt. Bungie takes that stuff seriously.
-
Totally agree with what you posted.
-
Bungie is infamously known for banning players on halo
-
Agree with you, but until it happens here I stand by my comments. Just don't think they will ban people who were doing this because it would be a bit hard to prove and it has no impact on PvP

Do you not understand how technology works? Your system has an IP address!!
-
Really. Wow. I had absolutely no idea that they could pull your IP address. Thanks for enlightening me Einstein. Love how you logically deducted that I didn't understand how technology works simply because I said it would be a bit hard to prove. Yes, everyone knows they can pull your IP address, but how would they be able to confirm if you were randomly, accidentally or purposely disconnected from the game? Now if the cheeser does this every week on 3 characters and completes no other part of the Raid then they are asking for trouble. The people that do it once or so are highly unlikely to be punished. Again, just my thoughts. You are certainly entitled to your own opinion.

Edited by zebra862: 12/24/2014 3:04:46 AMThe data logs track your progress. With that said, it will indicate when and where you lost internet connection. If you happen to manipulate your network constantly for only the raids then Bungie's will be able to locate you :) Please take an intro to computer app class at your local community college to understand more about this fascinating field :) Have a safe Christmas!

You obviously need to take a reading comprehension class. Did I not say that if someone does this repeatedly, i.e. disconnects, they are asking for trouble. I figured you would understand what I was referencing and I would not have to break it down into rudimentary terms, however, I guess that was somehow lost on you. Everyone knows that companies have been tracking your data for years--that is not some type of revelation. The people who occasionally "cheese" are highly unlikely to suffer any consequences from Bungie period. I did not wish to begin meaningless back and forth with you, but you felt the need to make your sarcastic and chastising remarks. In any case, no need to continue this dialogue. I hope you and your family have an enjoyable Christmas holiday.
-
Whatever, I was just trying to be nice and explain it to you. You didn't have to be rude. For Christ sakes, it's the holidays!
-
LOL. My bad! I think there may have been some miscommunication on both sides. I totally understood what you were saying. Trust me--I'm not that guy that tries to be an azz on the forums and pick fights with everyone who doesn't totally agree with what they post. I really don't care about cheesing Crota , all I want for Christmas is another Gjallahorn!! Take it easy and enjoy the Holidays sir!!

Rockstar doesn't care. Bungie does. And so does Activision. That's a force to be reckoned with. I'll never cheat.

Bungie is a very different company than Rockstar. Bungie has historically banned large groups of people for exploits.
