Your analogy is not valid, You don't deliberately fall down a hole, a sensible person knowing the hole is there would walk round, same as if you know there is an exploit you have the choice to avoid it.

A bridge you can fall off by the sides is a bridge mad as intended, a bridge with a huge hole in the middle isn't, especially with how easy the new cheese is
