Doesn't matter if you disagree with what you already agreed on the terms of service People who do this deserve a ban , much like those people in halo reach who dif the online firefight connection exploit Do it , enjoy ban , cry on forums Gogogo

1. I don't understand why people are calling OP a "white knight" when all they're doing is trying to drop some knowledge on people who are considering doing this cheese. 2. You honestly do not have to do this cheese. Crota is not that difficult. If it is possible that you'll catch a ban for this, why even do it when Crota is easy to begin with? Point: Crota's easy, don't risk it.
-
That is in regards to affecting other peoples experience. You aren't affecting the other players game.
-
Actually, this is like saying it wasn't stealing because the store managers hired someone incompetent to run the tills who took all the money out and left it on the conveyor belt thing while they went to the bathroom. It's still stealing, but a huge amount of blame needs to be placed on the other party as well.

I'm Xbox ;P

Do they say anything about guilt by association? I joined a fireteam yesterday for the first time ever at Crota. They apparently tried the glitch without my knowing, except two people left and the raid disbanded shortly after. I had no idea that this was a thing and would have avoided it if I did.

Edited by Aven: 12/21/2014 6:16:55 AMHoly shit, White Knight Chronicles up in here! Tip your fedoras boys!

Edited by QuikSilver: 12/22/2014 1:40:38 PMIt's like " Here's this way to Cheese Crota. We're going to put it in the actual game. But then Ban you if you use it" Man gtfo. And yes I know it is different b/c you are disconnecting. I honestly don't care, I'd rather beat the Raid with out needing to D/C..although I don't mind figuring out in game workarounds to beat something. That to me is built in and if we find it, then tough shi*

I would say it's a glitch in the game and not players fault even if doing it on purpose.... It's a game people, relax

So, in Halo Reach, there was "commendation farming" by starting a checkpoint, killing all the things, resetting. Bungie said it was completely legitimate to get your commendations that way since you were simply playing the game... Later on, there were folks who found out that disconnecting from the internet after completing daily challenges got you the rewards, but then allowed you to complete them again to get rewards repeatedly. This became a thing. The folks who directly manipulated their network (pulled their cords) were banned - the folks who farmed checkpoints were not. Soloing the raid? Not on the same level as dropping host (pulling cord/quitting app) to gain an advantage. One is ban-worthy and one is not. One is so very obviously wrong, and the other isn't. Cheesing the nightfall? Not on the same level as host resetting Crota. People attempting to justify it are placing themselves directly in the crosshairs of a potential ban. Bungie have done it before, and will likely do it again. Not worth the risk when it's easy enough to beat him the right way
-
So if im Host playing crota my internet connection shuts down and resets or destiny server error(not on purpose)i join crota again crota stays On one knee and i am to be banned seems stupid, dont forget this cheese could happen without you wantin it.
-
I can confirm that OP is a white knight
-
Truth is if bungie banned everyone for cheesing anything then they wouldn't have any players. It's one thing if it was just 1 or 2 stupid glitches that wrecked multiplayer but it's more than that and these cheeses or glitches are in every part of the game. Have to blame the devs on this one.
-
Just because someone figured out that this causes a error on "your" game and does not affect anyone other than your fireteam will not be something to ban for. Say you pulled the plug on a PVP game and it glitches your team so that the opposing team could not hit you, yes, that "could" be something to ban for if it happens more than a few times.
-
Edited by Rylor Threev: 12/22/2014 1:22:53 PMNO, this is a proof that bungie servers sucks, if the host open the disc tray, the server glitches and forget to "resurrect crota", I don't like people glitching crota, the real challenge is kill him, every time that some one invite me to "kill crota" I just say: -blam!- you, you don't need a real player to glitch the game, just call your level 29-28 noob friends and "kill" him

Edited by Paneross: 12/22/2014 1:17:28 PMWhy make a giant fuss about something, when you have clearly done yourself?

Hypocrites everywhere lol
-
IF PSN banned 1 person for this & he can prove it was for "THIS ALONE" & no one else was banned & prove that they knew numerous others did and did not ban them, it sounds like BS... Imagine the number of people??? Why do you think XBOX/CoD allow sooo much hacking??? Ban 30-40 percent of your customer base..... LOL!!! Yes the CAN do it, I just do not see them nailing that coffin shut.

I like velvita cheese!!

Edited by ArmyKnight75: 12/22/2014 9:59:26 AMHow about this??? Worry about something in this world that needs to be worried about. Not some stupid-ass glitch that someone found. Does this impact you in any way? No, so take your attention wanting ass and worry about something meaningful. If we worried about things in this world half as much as people seem to worry about things in this game the world might be a better place. Then we wouldn't have to bury ourselves in fantasy to get away from reality.

Not sure why everyone is ripping on you, seems all you did was highlight the important aspects of the EULA. I suppose the ones below who feel they can't or won't be banned are frustrated that regardless of what their feelings or understandings are of the system they are still in violation. You can be banned for dashboard crashing on purpose, the server side knows it was user commanded, all it requires is the 3 strike rule. Go ahead try it, cheese crota and either disable or dashboard on purpose 3 times during the same event. Enjoy your system status code XXXX-XXXX
-
All I know is I've cleared crota legit 6 times now, it's not hard. The kids glitching crota are the same losers who run around bragging about there raid helms and calling cards like they're special.

Edited by JustOnePepsi: 12/21/2014 12:50:48 PM
Edit: We have a person who was recently banned for doing this. He was told he broke the psn code of conduct that you agree on when you make an account.
First of all, if he was truly banned, what he was "told" was very vague. What you're told by those who ban you is always very vague. If someone would like to post an official message stating that their account was banned for disconnecting while playing a game, then I encourage them to do so. Until then, I'm willing to bet anyone legitimately banned was not banned for anything involving a PvE boss. Funny thing about people who are banned... they usually lie about why. "Haven't you heard? Everyone in here is innocent..." https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gt75VjvRW34 Not to mention, many MANY players have done this. If they were going to ban for it, they would have banned more than one.
Edit: To clarify, saying this is not cheating because its "in the game and its their fault" is like saying it wasnt stealing because the cashier had their back turned.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ztVMib1T4T4 There's a very big difference between PvE and PvP. Players were banned (by Bungie, no less) for exploiting a heavy ammo bug in multiplayer. A bug that intentionally disrupts what is meant to be a competitive environment is obviously not allowed. How many people were banned for cheesing Atheon again? I don't care what anyone does in the game, but your assumption that you're making a statement of fact annoys me.
-
Why are you worried about what other people do with the game they purchased ... Live your life dude stop worrying about what others are doing
-
Who cares
-
So they will ban people for crotas raid ? But why not for the vog raid? I doubt it buddy.
