Travelling to the Ark by standard slipspace travel is extremely unfeasible though. It's 262,144 light years away from galactic center. And considering it's not parallel to the galactic plane, but perpendicular to it, that makes it even more difficult. Not just that, but it then puts the Ark further away than the LMC. Making it so UNSC and Covenant aren't capable of making such a journey.
