The number one things that I dislike on Primary Weapons is lack of elemental damage. My perfect exotic primary would have a special slot where you give 7 raid shards and get elemental damage.

Agreed and why would you ever use an exotic once you have a raid legendary

Excepting things like the mythoclast and last word/thorn/certain ones with really helpful effects. And for me, No Land Beyond fits there, even though everyone hates on it
