Definitely weird in that case.
That sucks man, nothing worse than being someone who appreciates quality tech and having something go wrong with one of your prized possessions :(

Exactly my feeling, thanks for your quality post. My set also has, "Pixar orbiter" which is meant to prevent burn-in. I fear the HUD icons are simply too thick for the slight moments of the feature to effectively shift all the pixels involved.
