[spoiler] I teared up quite a bit when carl had to shoot his own mother in the head to prevent her from turning. Such an emotional scene *sobs* [/spoiler]

Recently, Harry Potter 8 during dinner and movie night with the family: When [spoiler]Severus Snape[/spoiler] dies and Harry reviews the memory. Very good music and story telling worked very well there. I'd seen it before, but it's very well done. Robin Williams (RIP) movies Patch Adams and What Dreams May Come. Holy cow... Pay it forward [spoiler]at the end[/spoiler] (duh). All of these things have parenting in common. As a parent I connect way more now to the loss of kids or spouses in movies if it's done right. Do games count? Last of us. The hospital surgery. And following scenes. Seriously... Welled up. I was pretty well floored after that. For a while. Don't know why, it was just so well done.
