Yeah, it is. And it's no trouble. Every tv should be calibrated for its best overall picture. As far as aging goes, simple. Just turn the brightness down a bit for the first few hundred hours. Hell, I bought it, plugged it in, left it on while I was at work, and as we slept. The break in period went very fast.
And the refresh rate on a plasma is great for gaming. As well as the deep blacks. Not trying to get into any led vs plasma debate, just saying its great for gaming if properly set up.
