Is it true that the "Forward Unto Dawn" (or what's left of it) changes design from Halo 3 to Halo 4?

Yes. It's very easy to see. Curiously enough, such a design may have only been artistic as the Halo Universe shows the Halo 3 era Chiron. It would make more sense too because the redesigned Chiron is lacking the underbelly hanger that made the ending of Halo 3 possible.

  • That's what I thought. Also, did the FuD have holographic technology like what we see in Halo 4? I thought it had normal old monitor screens like Crows Nest or the Pillar of Autumn. Was this a design change, or were they really always there?

  • I'm going with design. Bungie never had too fancy tech for the humans. 343 on the other hand are trying to upgrade humanity in the lore. They could have just used the old design for the Dawn and rather let the Infinity be the modern pinnacle of human (heavily inspired by forerunner) tech.
