Yes it's done so folk can't calculate DPS and thus promote social gaming, but it's to an extent there might as well not be a numerical value assigned to damage... This also affects exp for gear and general levelling up... Speaking of which, levelling up being almost completely linear... Armour rating and level being pointless in just about every game mode, since you are capped at the level that mode is set to. The whole inverted difficulty of strikes and nightfalls - punishing those who have limited play time Excessive and needless amounts of currencies to obtain anything useful in the game. Some requiring [b]two[/b] separate currencies... Punished for exploring; invisible barriers, no go areas, empty spaces, boss style enemies in caves guarding jack and shit... Punished for creative/efficient strategy when facing bullet sponge bosses. The overly controlling nature of the game and bungie in general.
