Pve players get exclusive gear, pvp players get some as well. The goal of devs is to get players to play all aspects of the game. Same rewards for pvp and pve would be boring.

Right. So I again ask WHY have PvE players earn rep with Faction Vendors if they cannot purchase gear? Its a complete contradiction in of itself.

You choose to earn rep by wearing the class item. Its not forced.
