I think they were kinda listening. Remember that they were already working on the content (not the mission maps, those were done) for the dark below at launch. So they probably couldn't take everything into account. I'm not going to say that the game isn't a hollow shell, it is definitely lacking. But consider this. Most DLC is pretty paltry. I haven't played the Skyrim DLC, but I did buy all the DLC for fallout 3/NV and Mass Effect 3. Each one was $10 and added about 2-4 hours of content. People pay $20 for a handful of new PVP maps. In Destiny we got new strikes, a new raid, new gear and new PVP maps. Each one of those was probably worth $5 each by that standard. So the price was on point for fps DLC. I think we are just expecting too much from an online fps aimed at teens with short attention spans. I mean, the dissenters are loud and it seems like there are a lot of them, but it's maybe a few thousand people complaining on the forums vs a few million people playing the game regularly. Anyway, back to my point. I think they are listening, sort of. I will continue to be pessimistic, but I hope we will get more interesting stuff in the House of Wolves DLC. We are getting a lot of what PVPers are asking for, inferno mode is a big one, along with trials of Osiris. PVP content is easy to make compared to PVE though, there's no ai to program or scripting to be done. You make some maps and let people have at. I hold out more hope for the "comet" DLC, since we're running out of the "cut" content. They will be forced to make some new areas. Probably no new planets or entirely new regions, but maybe a few new areas tacked onto the existing planets. Edit: Lastly, I think they are on the right track with missions like Eris'. However, I think they are stuck with the existing bounty system and they don't have a good way to make the bounty/quests more questy. I firmly believe that legendaries are too easy to get. We should have been going into the raid in blues and getting that first tier of legendaries there. The current DLC should have added some legendaries, but also better rares. Anyway, the system in place is too smushed to have a lot of variety at the top. You pretty much have to be at least a level or two away from cap to do the current content. Though, I'm thinking too much of a system like WoW, which they avoided for whatever reason. Probably those aforementioned teens with short attention spans. I would guess that Bungie low-balled their assumptions of their player base. As such, we got the Destiny that we got.
