All these dumbasses who know nothing about consoles trying to make it out to be something it isn't. New consoles need years before they get any really good games because the coding and development for a totally new platform takes time. Skyrim wasn't nearly as graphically intensive as current games, and after a few hundred hours the load times were absurdly long as a result of excessive storage strain.

That was true of every console generation before this one. Now the PS4 and Xbox One are basically just PCs. There is no proprietary type CPU like the cell processor that developers need time to figure out. What we are seeing from the current consoles performance wise is all we will ever get. The PS4 and Xbox One are both under powered. That's why there is already talk this console generation will only last 4 or 5 years tops.

I would say that the graphics of Skyrim are on a par with Destiny. In fact, the game is much more explorable than Destiny and the environment more interactive. These consoles have been ready for over a year if not more. I wouldn't be surprised if the next next gen consoles are already developed. They simply wish to make maxim profit out of the consumer via the concept of the upgrade. Apple are the masters of that. People line up just to get the same phone in a different colour. Crazy. But all companies do it. Xbox have the next 10 to 15 years of platforms on the line. They have the technological understanding already. There are far more powerful PCs and they know how the coding works for them. Consoles are similar, just gaming specific. They steal the same graphics cards and hard drives, then squeeze them into a plastic box and add a controller.
