He has given me weapons from legendaries, but they are the old versions I. E. Max attack 300... They ain't useless, but who wants a weapon with 300 attack when you could have one with 331?

Did you pick up the engrams pre dlc or after? I had the same thing but they were old engrams. Trying to work out if the rng happens when the ball drops or when he decrypts it. No point stockpiling them before new dlc if he's just the messenger and it's already decided.

They were post, also I had the pocket infinity bounty pre dlc made sure I finished it post dlc and got the new version that starts at 302 attack.
