If you have less than 40-50 kills at the end of the strike, you get no rewards.

So the matchmaking takes a few minutes and puts me into the boss of the strike, i proceed to help dismantle him and i dont get anything? Should i just leave and waste even more time? Chances are your rewards arent going to do anything for you, strikes arent particularly hard and take what? 20 minutes? Who cares. If they get a better drop than you its not like you would have got it if they weren't there.

Then possibly a DPS system that only activates when in a darkness zone? There are a few solutions.

I don't know if that would be a good metric, with public zones and adds farming at the boss possible. I have a few regular destiny teammates, and they can end up with 20 -25 kills in a strike. It's not that they aren't participating, I'm just more efficient at killing minions. and I have gjallarhorn and heavy ammo synth. I've played with randoms that are the same way, especially if they aren't "speed runners". Vote kick system would need a lot of restrictions to not be susceptible to abuse/trolling. Hard to see a perfect solution for this. Mass effect 3 had the same issues. They reduced the timer for auto-kick quite a bit, but then people just rubber-banded their controllers or went suicide each time they spawned. At least that game didn't have enemy health buff based on number of players.

Those are some very valid points. Maybe make only kills in darkness zones count I suppose?
