Sorry but I disagree. PVP is just as much a part of the game as PVE. If you want to cry about the PVE nerfs for PVP then you have to throw in the other side of things. How about... The only way to get to 30 is to PVE? Or how about the best PVP weapons are found in PVE?
The game was built so a well rounded player that does both PVE and PVP will have access to the most well rounded characters. If you only play PVE then you have handicapped yourself, by choice, so please don't complain.
And yes there are many many things wrong with this game but I hate hearing people complain when they only play half the game.

the maker of this post only plays PVE cause he lacks the cognitive brain function to play PVP, which most developers put more time into making since most studies have shown that people buy games purely for the PVP portion of the game. the loot system in this game is flawed beyond comprehension, and a perfect fix for this would be to incorporate borderlands loot system. it would work perfectly for this game. PVE is boring and completely destroys my ability to focus in this game, but when i play PVP, my focus is completely different. its sharp as a brand new blade man, and i love PVP for that very reason. the change in my mental thinking and focus to get kills and dominate is what drives me to PVP in this game.

Well said

OK Professor NumbNutz, I guess I've been schooled?
-
Im just saying how it is. I know where i do really well and what brings me joy, and how it brings me joy. If PVE is your thing, then lets just end it here.

The only way to get to level 30 is through PvE? I've been grinding PvE primarily for the past 2 months and my leveling has slowed down so much. I finally reached level 28 and I'm already burned out from doing the repetitive bounties and Daily and Weeklys, I no longer want to play the game. Good luck reaching level 30 in PvE : )

Have you bought any exotic armor from xur? That should bring you to 29 with a full set of legendary
-
Edited by JTMSL: 12/7/2014 7:33:39 PMAlso only way to get a lvl 30 helm is to do the hard raid
-
No... You can buy one from xur
-
Sorry i was meaning raid gear... chest and helm are only available through the hard raid
-
Chest is not hard mode only btw, only helm.
-
Really? This changes everything...
-
Pvp is what made the damn game it came from halo for christ sake
-
Umm. iron Banner, dude. level 30 for PvP.
-
No it was gloves and boots the two easy to get PVE pieces. You still need chest and helmet to get to 30. Even with one of those as an exotic you still must PVE to get to 30. Know what you are talking about before you talk down to someone...

Edited by Noctroglyph: 12/7/2014 6:35:15 AMI wasn't talking down to you. I was pointing out that Iron Banner dropped "level 30" gear. And there are plenty of people that would disagree that any VOG gear is "easy" to get; RNG makes sure of that. It will all be moot Tuesday, anyway.

(For the record, my Chest armor dropped on my first raid, I haven't received any since).

Might be true if I only played half the game. Statement false. Done almost every part of the game. Who said anything about removing PvP? My main complaint as cleared up with edit #1 is only about preventing access to 4/5 tower vendors unless you bring though PvP. Level 30 or 32 isn't the point either. Since day 1 I was happy avoiding PvP that I don't care for, using an ALTERNATIVE WAY to be able to BUT THE WEAPONS AND ARMOR I WANT TO USE playing the game MY WAY. Removing the mats for rep/marks now forces players like me to either grind though boring PvP (our opinion not yours) just to get the legendary weapons or armor we like to use. Since Crucible Gear doesn't exist there is no reason to force that currency on 80% of the vendors. All vendors should accept both marks. I'll even give you Crucible rep still needs to be obtained in the Crucible. I think we all should play and enjoy Destiny as we see fit. If you want end game gear then you need to grind through IB or the Raid. You shouldn't need to for typical legendary gear. If you want PvP gear then ask Bungie to make it since not one of the 5 vendors sells it. If they did someone who plays PvE wouldn't want it in the first place.

This is not a sand box game where you can get everything you want by doing things that is fun. If you really want a piece of gear/weapon that requires you to do something, then you either do it or you don't. Don't complain about 'I want to play my way and if I can then f*ck this game'. There are a mass of games that do this, if you want pvp gear you have to pvp, same with pve.
