Indeed, but also, a lot of the Vangard patrols are missions for the different factions. So shouldn't one get rep with that faction by completing a mission for them?

You only get the reputation for that faction by wearing their class items, but they still only take Crucible marks, which can't be earned in PvE at all. So we still can't get jack-squat from the Factions by only playing PvE.

Agreed, but I was adding that considering many of the patrol missions are for the factions, that perhaps those should maybe add some faction rep even without the class items. Obviously this should be less than when you wear the items. But we definitely shouldn't have to play PvP to get something from the few vendors that sell something useful in the Tower. :)

Yeah, you'd think you'd get a little more rep for helping out the Factions on Patrol, and I've always thought that if I'm wearing a New Monarchy bond and I help them out in Patrol, I should get bonus rep and maybe some marks.
