I never felt like I had to do it,lvl 29 or lvl 30 where's the difference? Being 30 rather than 29 only helps you during the raid,which I don't do,so it's all about that number and I couldn't care less. I might do it in the future though,who knows

Similar here. Did my first raid last week and it was great fun. And you get lots of loot! Really good stuff!!
