If you're dead set on avoiding pvp like the plague, why do even care about leveling your crucible level? The weapons and gear aren't any better then the stuff the vanguard quartermaster sells. I think it's perfectly reasonable for bungie to make players looking to increase their crucible rep to actually play crucible. Stop complaining.
