It is "Hard" mode. Cheesing him off of a cliff isn't "Hard". Yes, you need an experienced raid team because it's "Hard" mode. The raid should be the most difficult thing that you encounter in the game. I will agree that it is a tedious portion of the raid although is not impossible to beat the Templar legit. It just requires a bit more experience and coordinated teamwork.
